Claire graduated with a first class BSc (hons) degree in Equine Science from the University of Brighton. Throughout her degree, Claire developed her skills in business management; specifically in the animal-related fields. Her final year research focused on the therapeutic effect of the human-animal bond, and, it is this which drives her passion for implementing exceptional client services and pet welfare.
She has previously worked at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital in Sydney, the Royal Veterinary College (University of London) and the PDSA. Claire was most recently instrumental in the set-up of London's first veterinary referral hospital.
In an ideal world, Claire would have "thousands of animals" but, for now, is happily devoted to Cyril, her black-and-white rescued cat. Cyril previously spent almost a year being overlooked in a rehoming shelter due to his feistiness, but, now in his own home, has developed into the most loving and loyal companion. He earns his keep by rather impressively catching an array of flying insects.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys freelance writing, including articles for UK pet magazines. She also likes visiting exhibitions at the V&A museum, going to concerts and watching reruns of Poirot with a cup of tea in hand.
